Praise to the mothers, aunties, big sisters, cousins, g-mommies, play mommas, church mommas, guardians, grandmas, teacher-mommas, bus-mommas, spiritual mothers, new mothers, old mothers, neighborhood mothers, block mommas, step-mothers, and all other mothers that provide to, pray over, teach, and lead our children with love and a fierce power to protect.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a self-taught artist currently living in Kansas City, Missouri (USA). I describe my art as contemporary neo-soul abstract artistry. My inspiration comes from living in this society, and my experiences as I journey through this life. I am continuing to push myself to new levels of expression and trying different mediums. I hope that I create unique soul-stirring art that becomes an endearing collection to some and an inspiration to others. Currently, I use acrylic, oil pastel, spray paint, art markers, watercolors, paper mache’, and pencil on canvas, wood, paper, and simulated wood to create.
