I wrote this piece in 2016, and it was recently premiered by regional music faculty. Inspiration for the piece started with wind chimes and the flint hills, and I ended up including my opinions and anxieties about the contemporary social discourse: it's a journey of friendly moments, arguments, frustrations, and discoveries. Recording is a live performance from Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, Swarthout Recital Hall, KU. Trevor Stewart, clarinet, Boris Vayner, viola, Ellen Sommer, piano.

This is a reading of Edgar Allan Poe's "Masque of the Red Death," read by James Henry.

This epic poem by D.H. Lawrence examines thoughts about the end of life.  (This poem is only about *actual* death if you want it to be….)
